From El Paso to the international stage
September has given Noah Dollenmayer another reason to be watched. El Paso announced his third Dominican Republic call-up of 2026 on September 16. His national team then opened its League A campaign with a 3–2 home win over Nicaragua on September 24 and a 2–1 comeback victory away to Trinidad and Tobago on September 27.
At club level, the clearest evidence lies in the air: a decisive headed goal and 31 aerial duels won in El Paso’s latest published snapshot.
The header that changed the night
With El Paso and Pittsburgh level deep into stoppage time on August 26, Noah Dollenmayer got to Zyen Jones’s cross and headed in the winner. The 2–1 victory was a reminder of what a defender can contribute at the other end: one well-timed arrival can decide a match that has resisted a second goal for more than half an hour.
Dollenmayer’s return to Locomotive after a 2025 loan at San Antonio has renewed a familiar relationship. In 2024, he led El Paso with 107 clearances, 22 blocks and 48 aerial duels won. His clearest statistical identity was already taking shape.
The repeatable part
El Paso’s 2026 statistics snapshot, retrieved September 30, records 31 aerial duels won from 40 contested: 77.5%. Across 978 minutes, that is about 3.7 aerial contests per 90 minutes. The success rate matters alongside the volume; it tells us he has won a substantial majority of the recorded challenges without pretending every header carried equal difficulty.
His 58 clearances work out to 5.3 per 90. That describes how often he has removed danger, although team pressure and defensive shape influence the opportunities. The passing split adds a useful distinction: 83% overall accuracy, compared with 42.9% on long passes. Reliable possession in one part of the pitch does not automatically mean reliable distribution over distance.
A role to build on
Ten starts in 16 appearances leave room for a larger role. For the Dominican Republic international, the next useful question is whether those aerial outcomes hold as his minutes grow. The Pittsburgh goal supplies the memorable image; the defensive sample supplies something to follow from match to match.
